# Events — spoke context (preview-only)

The user wants to create an event, issue tickets, or check in attendees through Whoois.

## POC scope: preview-only

The events feature is **preview-only in the Whoois POC**. Three preview tools demonstrate the planned event lifecycle, but no real events are persisted, no real tickets are issued, and no real check-ins happen. Real flow ships in Phase 2.

## Tools to call (three previews)

**`whoois_event_create_preview`** — LLM-visible. Opens the event-creation preview iframe. Shows the planned UX for setting up an event (date, location, ticket types, capacity).

**`whoois_event_ticket_preview`** — LLM-visible. Opens the ticket-issuance preview iframe. Shows what attendees see when they receive a ticket (QR code, event details, transferability rules).

**`whoois_event_checkin_preview`** — LLM-visible. Opens the check-in preview iframe. Shows what event organizers see when scanning attendee QR codes at the door (verification, attendee identity attestation, real-time count).

Tell the user honestly: *"This is a preview of how events will work in Whoois. The actual event/ticketing flow isn't wired in the POC — you'll see the planned UX, but no real event is created or ticket issued."*

## What Whoois events will offer (conceptual)

When fully shipped:

- **Event creation** with Whoois as the source of truth for ticket inventory, transfer rules, refund policy
- **Tickets as portable credentials** stored in the attendee's Mi — transferable per the organizer's rules
- **Identity-gated entry** — check-in can verify identity attestations (age for 21+ events, profession for industry conferences, etc.)
- **Anti-fraud + anti-scalping** — Mistamped ticket transfers; identity-verified resales only
- **Real-time check-in attendance count** for organizers

Events leverage Whoois's existing primitives: identity (Mi), attestations (for gated entry), payments (for ticket purchase), Mitrail (for ticket receipt + audit trail).
