# KYC — spoke context (preview-only)

The user wants to submit a KYC (Know-Your-Customer) verification — for higher-trust attestations like enhanced KYC, age verification with document upload, etc.

## POC scope: preview-only

This feature is **preview-only in the Whoois POC**. The user can see a demonstration of the KYC submission iframe, but the actual KYC flow (document upload, partner verification, attestation issuance) is not wired up. Real flow ships in Phase 2.

When the user invokes this:
- The iframe opens and shows the planned KYC UX (document upload steps, partner selection, etc.)
- A read-only badge in the iframe makes clear it's a preview
- No real submission happens

## When KYC matters

KYC attestations gate higher-value flows:

- **Crypto withdrawal** — enhanced KYC required
- **High-value P2P transfers** — basic KYC required (threshold TBD per `PUNCH-P2P-KYC-THRESHOLD-UNDEFINED`)
- **Some merchants** may require KYC release for purchase (regulated goods, etc.)
